What exactly was the point of that agreement anyway. I mean it's not like the cars had the advertised HP. Straight out of the factory a Supra had ~350hp even when it was stated that it was 280HP (in Japan.) Did any company actually limit the cars power because of the agreement or was it just advertised power?

I like the Skyline, but that price tag doesn't seam realistic. I've never really felt it was a M3 or S4 competitor. I mean, Skyline and luxurious don't belong in the same sentence.
I'm not a fan of turbocharging either. Yes yes I know the twin turbo BMW I6 is good, but it's still not something I'm enamored with.

kind of off topic.. but not all Lexus dealership have good customer service either... 2 weeks ago I went to the largest Lexus dealership in LA and I walk up to a salesman and ask to test drive to a LS460... he told me to wait and ask for another salesman to help me.. the other salesman look and me and said he is busy when he was there chatting with other salesman.. well I guess i dress to cheap to test drive a lexus huh.... then I walk away and drove away in a Porsche 996 twin turbo which park right in front of their showroom.. so does that mean I should never step into Lexus showroom because I got treated bad by those 2 salesmans and every single Lexus dealership will treat me the same

There will always be faster cars than any benchmark. If I had a choice between this thing called a GTR and the M3, the obvious choice would go to the Bimmer.

Gawd I love the GTR (save that awkward side profile and roofline) but I seriously hope they bring it in as an infiniti. I don't care about "Nissan History" I just don't want to have to deal with Nissan dealerships. These are by far the worst dealerships I have ever dealt with.

One is the standard, the other clearly, won a game or two.

I think this GT-R is a different approach by Nissan. I stand to be corrected, but I don't think it will be as 'moddable' as the R series (R32,33,34) Skyline GT-Rs. If you look at the Nismo R34 Z-tune, you will hear the engineers state that this is the car they should have built in the first place. I don't think that they will do the same thing twice.
