Pontiac places new G8 and G6 GXP in 50 cent video
G8 = new generation 300C. Get ready to see them with 24's.

You can't really blame Pontiac for giving its rear-wheel-drive G8 Concept and G6 GXP to rapper 50 Cent to use in his video for the song "Amusement Park". After all, pick a premium nameplate like Bentley, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini or Ferrari and one could find at least half a dozen (or more) music videos in which each marque has been featured prominently. At the same time, we must remember these are Pontiacs, and so we're asked to suspend disbelief and accept that given the choice, Fifty and his entourage would roll in one of these two vehicles before a Bentley Continental GTC, Rolls Royce Phantom, Lamborghini Gallardo or Ferrari Enzo.

I just found the video, another chick song from 50.

The cars don't get much exposure in the video. I've seen GM do this in the past with Ludacris and T.I., so this is nothing groundbreaking. The G8 would be better suited to a E-40 video doing doughnuts. They should market to the hyphy crowd to buy some new GMs, not just old $500 boxes.
I've heard so many mentions of the Charger in rap songs lately, I could swear Chrysler is paying rappers to throw it in as well. Product placement has gone beyond TV and movies...
