Very interesting results. VVEL is a great addition indeed, but Nissan's performance advantage won't last long at all, with Toyota's Valvematic and Honda's A-VTEC systems about to debut on new engines in just a few months. Not only that, but BMW will have some real competition, as it means by next year Nissan, Toyota, and Honda will all have infinitely variable valve timing systems on the market.

Hey TRDFantasy, what is Valvematic? And Infinitely Variable Valve Timing?

I haven't heard anything about either. Can you elaborate, or link me?

The TQ and HP curves looks intersting and pretty smoothe! Should be a fun car to drive. I like the wheels on it too, they look like the M35/45 sport wheels, which I have also liked on the G35 coupe.

Wow. Still amazes me how the Japanese copy the Germans.

Kiddo I'm not even going to hi-jack the thread and list things the Germans copy. My god its about 10 years old now to state "Japanese copy the Germans".

How about some new tricks like;
"Still amazes me how the Japanese smell like the Germans"
"Still amazes me how the Japanese cook like the Germans"
"Still amazes me how the Japanese fart like the Germans"

Think out the box here. Its old and now redundant to state the whole "copy" argument.

The reason why the G35 looks so boring in that picture is because they included a very basic G35, which you hardly ever see at the dealer. The basic G37 is much more improved than the basic G35 looks Here's a better picture of the 06 G35 with sports package. The 06 G35 w/ sport includes a sport bumper and side skirts:

Nevertheless, the G37 looks fantastic!

Honestly, SickLEX, im not really sure why you always throw the Altima Coupe in there.

I guess everyone has their own views, and at first I must admit the similarities were scary. But the Altima in nowhere near the looks of the G35/G37.

It's like staring at two sisters; they may seem alike, but one of them is very ugly, the other very hot.

Well, everyone has the right to their own opinion. But... throwing the [awful] comparison is getting really old.

Let me ask you, have you actually seen the Altima Coupe in person? Because I did [at the L.A auto show], and trust me, it wasnt turning any heads in the room.

PS. Your picture actually shows how different they are.
