riiiight. You might've gotten away with copyright laws in your own country but try that in any other country and you're not going to get away with it. GM and Honda lost their copyright lawsuits against the chinese manufacturers in China. I'm not surprised the government supports their own brand (which, face it, really is some random company that had a joint venture with a foreign company and basically get free access to modern technology).

Try it in sue-happy America.

*Yawn*, they say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery . . .
The chinese can copy the body design, but let's see the interior and build quality, not to mention there's no way they can duplicate the 2GR-FSE . . .

Wow did they really just photochop a Lexus IS and pass it off as their next model? This is just so ridiculously lame...

I was reading the article (from a link via the link above) and it said "China's coolest pickup truck" has European styling, despite the fact it clearly looks like a Chevy Colorado (I guess that's compliments to Chevy for making the Chinese author think the style is European inspired).

Also, the base 2.2 litre Toyota diesel does 130km/h. An option 3.2 litre engine made by a Chinese manufacturer gives the truck a top speed of 120km/h! Wow, buy a bigger engine and go slower!

I love that the rear lights are not even an original design but in fact from the MDX concept.

I gotta say it actually looks kind good. The rear. Not the front.

Its a shame that the Chinese automakers would do this...not a good national image.

I wonder if it'll be as safe as the knockoff of the Santa Fe they made a few years ago. The only vehicle EVER (at least at the time) to get a 0-star crash rating in England. Meaning you are GUARANTEED to die in a 30mph collision.

They copy the styling, but cut costs by leaving out insignificant components like the firewall.....

I think you mean Isuzu Rodeo, not the Santa Fe.
