How can Microsoft not be on top, or at least in the top 5?

Almost the ENTIRE world (and I'm not exaggerating) runs off a keyboard and Windows software....including the OTHER 19 companies on this list. You find Microsoftware, literally, everywhere.

I drink water and use TP everyday; means little here. The survey was from the Executives, Directors, and Security analyst, not from the average Joe that knows jack about real business, arrogance aside.
They look at profitability ,market value, image, products, G&A management, etc....
As much as I do like MS products, their image takes a beating in the media at every opportunity and nowadays many people do not appreciate Windows as much as they expect it to just be there for their every whim. Plus when it crashes-they blame Gates.

Because America loves to hate MS.

LOL its more of a hate/resentment type thing. But they make money..

I expected GE to be number 1. That company is awesome.

MC would have to do a bunch of major F up before getting drop out of the top 10, but it'll only take one to knock Toyota to off the list. Toyota better continue to tread softly.

They reprinted that on AOL but added a poll for each company. Some of them made me chuckle, including the Toyota one:

Your view on Toyota:
Toyota is your brand 40%
You're still rooting for Ford 28%
Your bet is on Honda 23%
Electric cars are a fad 9%
Total Votes: 11,621
