Should Lexus remove the word "Lexus" from their vehicles?
I was thinking about this recently and wanted to see what you all thought about it. Have you ever wondered why Lexus puts the word "Lexus" on all of its models when other luxury makes like Mercedes, BMW, & Audi do not? For MB, BMW, & Audi, they simply let the badge speak for itself. It almost seems as if the badge represents a symbol of luxury and prestige and that there is no need to display the name of the brand itself on every single vehicle. Everyone knows that the 3-pointed star symbolizes Mercedes-Benz, for example.
So do you think at this point the L-badge is well known enough and synonymous with the Lexus brand that perhaps they don't need to add the word "Lexus" to every one of their models anymore? Could the L-badge just speak for itself as the symbol for Lexus?

I think other companies are far worse to the point of being tasteless, trying their best to advertise their brand. Here are 3 examples
Here are some examples
1. If you look closely, Acura is STAMPED in the front bumper of every TL!!
2. Cadillac Escalade
Giant 8x10 size badge with huge "Escalade" on the rear
3. Infiniti G35s, this is ridiculous, giant I N F I N I T I on the rear.

"Audi A8"
-What is that (first girl)
-Girl you know the Olympic car (second girl)
-Oh, the rings (first girl)
-Yeah
So maybe they need to put AUDI on their cars.

They could just do "Mercedes". What looks silly is when they put "Kompressor" on the trunk lid. Just a little too busy.

It's not so much a word, but the brand name.

I agree the word Lexus should stay on their cars. Lexus doesn't need to follow Mercedes or Audi. Pronouncing the word Lexus outloud sounds very pleasing to the ear and is a unique word...so keep it on forever...
