Default Advises Needed! Please Help!

HI GUY,

I WAS PLANNING ON BUYING A USED CONVERTIBLE SPORTS CAR JUST FOR THE SUMMER. I HAVE HONDA S2000, NISSAN 350Z, BMW Z4, PORSCHE BOXSTER S, AND AUDI TT ON MY LIST.

HOWEVER, RECENTLY I FOUND A VERY GOOD DEAL FROM MAZDA DEALERSHIP WHICH IS A BRAND NEW 2006 RX-8 FOR $10000 DISCOUNT. IT'S FULLY LOADED W/ POWER LEATHER SEATS, SUN ROOF, 6-SPEED MANUAL, SPORTS PACKAGE, REAR SPOILER, AND LOT OF OPTIONS ADDED. THIS IS THE BEST DEAL THAT I CAN FIND.

PERSONALLY I LIKE THE HONDA S2000 THE MOST, BUT I FOUND OUT THAT A GOOD CONDITION USED S2000 COST ALMOST THE SAME AS THE BRAND NEW RX-8. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I SHOULD GO FOR NOW. AS I AM ONLY GOING TO KEEP THE CAR FOR THE SUMMER OR THE LATEST UNTIL DEC. THIS YEAR, I WANT TO KNOW WHICH CHOICE WILL HOLD ON ITS VALUE THE MOST WHEN I RE-SELL THE CAR LATELY.

I NEED ADVISES FROM YOU GUYS AND MAYBE YOU CAN SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES FROM THE PAST WITH ME.

I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP.

I would hold off the purchase and wait until the end of the year when end of year clearance sales could find you saving $$$.

As much as I love Mazda and their rotary engines, only the old RX7 would do it for me. An S2000 would still be my choice against the RX8.

Um, try lower case next time.

I'd say pass on the rx-8. It's a nice sports car, but the fuel consumption is very high, there's no torque, and I really wouldn't be able to live with it everyday. Plus, its resale aint that great.

Either the s2k or the Z4 would be my pick. Different character though. The latter has good resale values, the former a bit more "pure" in its driving dynamics.

Well the S2000 has no torque either. I think 10k off on a new car is very hard to pass up. The RX-8 has been loved dearly by mag reviews and owners seem to love them. Fuel economy is not great and oil consumption is an issue but I think its a fantastic car, with some room in the rear for a couple kids or your personal items.

Get the RX8

"Advise" can never be plural.
I'd get a 350Z, but the hard top.

thanks for all your replies ^^
since I am only keeping this car for less than 6 months, I don't really worry about its fuel ecnomy; as long as it stays reliable and do not depreciate too much.

my final list comes down to:

BRAND NEW 2006 RX-8 GT FULLY LOADED $42850(CAD) NOW $32840 (FROM DEALERSHIP)

2005 HONDA S2000 W/ 40000KMs $29000 (PRIVATE SALE)

2006 MAZDA MIATA GT FULLY LOADED W/8000kms $28000 (FROM DEALERSHIP)

WHICH CHOICE WILL HOLD ON ITS VALUE THE MOST WHEN I DECIDE TO SELL IT IN 6 MONTHS FROM NOW? ANY CAR SALESMAN/WOMAN CAN HELP ME WITH MY QUESTION?

THANKS A LOT!

(PRICE IN CANADIAN DOLLAR)
