i thought they were proven to not be as physically strong as the 2JZ?

say sayonara to the Progres, Brevis, MarkII Blit, Crown Estate, Caldina, Klugger (including Hybrid), Corolla Spacio, and MR-S.
and when did the MR-S have an I6?

Certainly the 2JZ's strength and ability to have big turbo power added are big pluses. If that's what a person wants (and has lots of money for mods) then 2JZ might be the way to go. It's become pretty much the Japanese equivalent of the Chevy small block.

Personally I'd still want a more modern, cleaner, more efficient and much more powerful (unmodded) engine.

I don't remember Kluger (Highlander) having an I6 either, just V6 and 4 cyl variants.

They're physically stronger mostly because of the iron block. I mean yes there are design differences but material is a huge play here.

No, they're physically stronger because the internals can withstand over 1000hp with stock cast pistons, rod, stock headstuds, bearings, crank, etc... GE motor included

Did Toyota also discontinue the 3SGTE or is it still around?
