Well, they are called SAVs for a reason. I would rather have more sportiness and less utility out of my SUV. I don't need to offroad. Holding cargo and driving like a car would be good enough for me. The X5 is great for most of the SUV buyers. MOST of the people with SUVs will never tow or offroad.

I drag around my toys with my X5. For me, the X5 was a no brainer. Day to day, it's fun to drive and handles great. Weekends allow me to load it with gear and have fun. Best of both worlds which is difficult to find in this segment.

Indeed, I would love to own a X5. I'm sure it can tow, but I wouldn't expect it to tow enough for most of the people but I don't as well as some other trucks.

6,000 lbs towing capacity. A nice Ski Nautique weighs in under 3k

If I were allowed to take the roller coaster track it would be the "ultimate roll over event".

I just realized that there are no federal roll-over warning decals inside of BMW X3's & X5's. The label states "WARNING: Higher Rollover Risk". I noticed that decal affixed to the sun visors of my Rav4 and other makes and models of suv's including the Gx470 that was at the event..
