Arrow The Upcoming RS5! Soooooooo Sexy?

According to CAR Magazine this ubber-sexy coupe will boast some quite impressive stats:
Originally Posted by CAR MAG
The glorious high-revving 4.2-litre V8 that powers the RS4 gets plumbed into the RS5’s nose, complete with two small and highly responsive turbochargers that will take peak power up to the 450bhp. That’s not a great deal more than the S5’s 354bhp, but the RS5 searing pace will come from its phenomenal blower-enhanced torque – expect at least 500lb ft of twist action to plateau across the rev range. With its quattro all-paw grip, the RS5 should scrabble to 60mph in four and a half seconds and hit an easy 155mph before the electronics call it a day. Like the S5, the hot RS5 will exploit the new A5 chassis layout, which has shifted the front axle 120mm further forward for a better 55:45 front-rear balance. But don't think that the RS5 will be a mere point-and-shoot speed weapon – Quattro waved it magic wand over the RS4, and the RS5 is expected to be just as pin-sharp to drive.
To this end, the RS5’s rear-biased quattro system will give the big coupe a more neutral handling balance. To keep the RS4 on the straight and narrow and keep a tight rein on body control, it will be fitted with carbon ceramic brakes lifted from the R8, 19inch alloys, as well as modified magnetic ride dampers borrowed from the TT. All this technology and pace will come at a price – expect the RS5 to wade in with a £53,000 price tag, in line with BMW’s £50,625 M3.

This begs the question...?

RS5

M3

GT-R

I'm looking to purchase a Sports Car/Coupe next Summer or so. These cars are all VERY appealling to me and priced comparatively. Which one would get your paper? and why?

GT-R > M3 >>>> RS5: if performance alone is your gauge, the GT-R will likely keep up with the 911Turbo, which is what it has been testing against at the 'Ring;

The M3 if you want daily driver with performance;
The audi is just not my kind of car; the face is ghastly; but beauty is very subjective

The more I see pics of the new Audi S5, it reminds me of the upcoming Camaro.. The RS5 rear bumper treatment looks nice though..

RS5 gets my vote, just looks completely unique to me. Performance is not everything by me, and I am not a huge fan of the new 3 series (although in person it does look a great deal better than pictures). This Audi 5 design has captured me though

Not bad. I'd consider it if I was cross shopping a BMW M3. I wouldn't cross shop a GTR though, different price range, different type of car.

Ahhhhhhh... Not so fast.

I don't have the article handy but the GT-R will have @ 3 variants priced from @ $60k-$90k for V-Spec. But even the least expensive will have 450+hp and comparible torque with stats quicker than both RS5 and M3. So price point is very close here. If the GT-R has a nice and comfortable inerior to go with it's blistering performance, it'll be hard to pass up.

The GT-R I would buy would not be a base model and would most likely be the VSPec. Plus Nissan dealers will probably mark this puppy up. If I wanted to spend the $$$ for an E92, I could've been put on a very short list for MSRP.

First... I can get just about ANY new or upcoming car at or below msrp due to connections with every major car dealer here in Dallas.
Second... No way would I fork over the est price of $90k for a GT-R no matter how awesome it will be! It doesn't have enuff presence or curbside appeal to justify that price. I'd take say a CLS 63 or the such. Now @ $60-$65k the Nissan appears to be the best bang for my buck.

Well, I guess we'll see how much the real world prices will be.

I definitely agree with you, 90k is also too much for me for something that lacks "curbside appeal" or "panache."

I would not pay a cent over $65 for the GT-R no matter how many gizmos and options and thingamagigs they add onto it.
I will pay twice that much with a WIDE smile on my mug for the LF-A. I will possibly and very likely have to pay more than twice that much for it in reality.

Damn nice looking car. I'd definitely put that at the top of my short list if I was in the market for a car in that class.
