Only 300 being made, this car will only appeal to a small minority and it will sell out. It doesnt have to have mass appeal. Thats what the reg. civic is for. Its a nice car but at that price or less(all the way down to $25k I would say) there are many better options IMO like an IS350 + some susp. mods w/ the change. The civic does have more rear seat legroom though lol. I have a feeling most of these civics will go to people that have 2 or 3+ cars in their garage(s) already. I think its a little stupid if this car is ur daily driver.. this is a track car.

yeah most people carry the mentality that 'a civic' couldnt be worth $40k...which makes no sense at all, but most people are not car enthusiasts.
theyll have no problem selling the 300 theyve built. i dont think its worth comparing the car to the IS though....two completely different cars...it wouldnt be the same experience at all, and more than anything i think that's what this car is about.

So let me get this right? I should drop my pants like everyone that would for a $38k Civic? Again, I think its a great "feat" but again, what is the point.
You guys saying "collect" it would WASTE the car, if its a track car meant to be driven.
Guys saying drive it, I say buy a S2000 or USED NSX and wipe the floor with this Civic.
I just opened a bag of gummy worms reading this thread, amazingly, one of them is joined together with another.
This is a "rare" gummy, I am going to collect it instead of eating it....
lol

What's the point of any car that goes faster than 100mph effortlessly? It only leads to tickets eventually after all.
What's the point of an S2000 you've compared this to? It's got no room, is harsh riding, and you have to make it scream to get out of a parking space.

Maybe you're getting a bit jaded.

Honda's only selling 300 of these and the owners will no doubt be very happy with them. It shows how capable, the, yes, Civic's platform is. Like you I prefer RWD too, but I also prefer AWD even more.

I dont understand all these civic bashing that mugen car is okay looking to our lexus viewers but to those who are civic lovers i mean ***** out civic lovers this mugen one of a kind jdm car is like god to them...come on only 300 in the world is like ur driving a skyline...man its just rare...but yeah no doubt in the months that follow they would be so much copy cats of that kits etc.. for that car hinces the reason why HONDAs are so down play cuz of the aftermarket companies make so many knock-off products...
mugen products are expensive they are up there with the likes of JP man...would u by a fully JP Lexus for what 30k? above you might...but other would say why its just a LEXUS ?

Yes, but anyone can say what's the point about MANY vehicles. After driving a Porsche 911 Turbo, while exhilarating, I also came away with thinking what's the point. The car is SO fast, brakes SO fast, handles SO well, but MAYBE 30% of its capabilities can be used on most roads.

To put an end to this discussion, let me just say that this mugen civic doesn't make sense to anyone besides hardcore mugen/jdm fans. For the money, you can get a Civic SI, invest around 2K in suspension mods, and 8K into engine build up + turbo, and you will have a very fast car and save yourself $10k.
