dang.. 10 mins?!?

I just watched the Fifth Gear review on the Honda Civic Type R vs. the JDM Civic Type R. The camera was shaking on the JDM model. It really was that stiff!

That blows... I'm glad I don't own a Civic or car like it that gets ripped off all the time.

That's one of the main reasons why I got rid of my GS-R. I would just be stressing it every time I would go somewhere. I would think it wouldn't be hard to find out who stole those things. It's not like a lot of people have those rims.

That's a sad picture of the Mugen Si

I had the ITR for 5 yrs and it was NEVER out of my eye sight whenever I took her out. Sold her to a kid and it was stolen in a month. .

Default 08 Civic Mugen Vandalized at Dealer lot

I have a soft spot for special edition Hondas. Unfortunately, so do a lot of people. They are more coveted by thieves than your Pay Pal password. An Acura Integra Type R or Honda Civic Si usually does a disappearing act when parked on dimly lit street. Apparently not even the latest generation Honda Civic Si is immune from the Honda curse. One car dealership has learned what every modified Honda owner knows; do not park your limited edition 2008 Mugen Honda Civic Si in an open lot. Thus, the 1,000 allotted Mugen Civic Si's slated for the United States are now down to 999. Before it could even reach the hands of an eager enthusiast, one Mugen Si was raided in the night while parked on a dealership lot. The thieves smashed a window, took the wheels, seats, badges, and shift ****, among other misc. items. The car was found by dealership employees perched on two jackstands and the front rotors. Sights like this really break my heart. I hope karma comes back and bites those who did the crime. View the gallery to check out the damage. Thanks for the tip Joe!

Hopefully it was the one at the dealership near my house because if anybody dealership deserves to have their car vandalized, it's them. I went with my friend when he was test driving an S2000, and since the salesperson went on the test drive with him, I browsed the showroom while I was waiting for him to return. Not only did the salesmen there try to sell me on the overpriced (~$30k MSRP for a Civic!?!) Civic, they also had the courtesy to add an additional $5,000 "market adjustment" for the car, bringing the price up to $35,000.

They also told me I should buy an S2000 (high 13s or even low 14s in the 1/4) to replace my Corvette since it will beat a Corvette (mid to high 12s in the 1/4) in the 1/4 mile since the Corvette is 'too heavy.' I know salesmen embellish things, but that was ridiculous.

well i dont think the dealership deserves that, people just shoudn't do stuff like that, and i know people do, but why can't people just try to work for the things they want instead of destroying and stealing to get it, people these days

There is one Acura dealer near us that is like that. If you can actually get a salesman to talk to you, you'll find that the cars are way over MSRP and a test drive is out of the question. Yet somehow they stay in business.

This is one reason why insurance rate is crazy on civics, and another reason why I'd never invest my money in a civic

I'd venture a guess and say the thieves are not professionals. They left behind the REAL goodies on the Mugen version. Suspension, motor, etc.

All they got were easily sold "quickie" items that are probably on ebay as we speak.

I post sometimes on Japanese car forum down here in Mexico and they were asking me about this particular Civic, actually had a thread about this vandalism, and were wondering if the car was going to come down there, as they really wanted those pieces for their own Civics.
