I went today and drove the new LS - love love loved it. I wish the course was little longer though and that they spaced cars out better because I "caught up" to the car in front of me midway through. Or pehaps it was my driving because it was a family in front of me and they were going pretty slowly....hmm
I used the POI on my nav and while there were a lot of El Toro choices I selected the airplane picture one and it took me right to the Lexus entrance.'
We ate the "Flat Iron" steak with salad, watermelon and cookie which was very tasty. I highly recommend it. **There are 2 food tents for those of you who haven't gone yet!**
At first I was annoyed with the reservation set up to test drive, but after I calmed down I realized how smart it is. The first time I was confused and didn't reserve but a nice lady just gave me a driving pass because the line wasn't long. The second time we made a reservation and it was only 30 minutes away (which we spent eating) and then it was only 10 minute wait in actual line. It's exactly like Disneyland Fast Passes and is much more organized than last year. **You must first go into the coordinating "building/tent" to get a driving pass for the cars you want to drive. It's all sectioned/roped off. You cannot skip right to outside driving tent!**
The tents were all seperate and air conditioned, it was even cool under the open IS-F tent.
**There is NO parting gift this year as Lexus is using that money to plant trees, which appeared to be the theme this year. Go green!
