"In addition, he said the vehicle costs only one-third the usual expenses on maintenance over a 24-month period because it has fewer wear-and-tear components. His current Prius recently surpassed 400,000 kilometres with no hybrid component failures."
So much for the battery failure/replacement doomsay.![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

This is the second time that Toyota is asking for the taxi back. Some of you may recall that they did the same thing to his 2001 Prius. It travelled > 336,000kms before Toyota took it back and gave him a new 2003 Prius in exchange.
I'm sure they'll give him a 2007 in exchange too.
For those of you that are interested, here's a link to the service record for the 2001 Prius and part of the 2004's service record

If you look at the 2001 record (cause that's a complete one), you'lll see that the front brakes were replaced around 144,000kms and never actually replaced his rear ones even after 336,000kms

Wait till they come out with the factory plug-in Prius that will exceed 100 mpg.
My dad has a Prius for his daily driver. We actually fit in a medium sized refrigerator in the back (with back seats down) when we were helping my lil bro move into his apt. for his 2nd year at UCSB. Such a versatile car!
