Why couldnt he afford to get(if he has a wife/ son) his wife a Bentley convertible, his son a Bentley GT coupe and keep the Bentley sedan for himself? Maybe he ran in to some sort of financial trouble I actually dont really like how the Bentleys drive so maybe that was a factor for him

In articles about Lexus GB, it's stated that the LS 600h L has gotten several Bentley trade-ins. :

its not uncommon for people trade in higher end car for something newer and cheaper.. i would trade a older 911 turbo for a new 335i coupe.. my wife would trade in the 04 ls430 for a new toyota prius.. to us those car are more pratical..i also knew that someone trade in a 360 modena for a new s550 .. i guess it depend on what make sense...

As I said, he was dissatisfied with how he's treated by the Bentley dealer.

years ago when the subaru sti first came out, a salesman i know worked at the dealership told me they once had a guy trading in his bentley for a STi. I had no idea what the hell went wrong w/ his mind. Anyways, I can totally understand trading in one bentley for 3 lexus

Those 3 cars are about $190K (85+65+40). I doubt he even broke even so I'm sure the motivation wasn't financial. Oh and yes, he does change cars frequently.
