S5 looks nice, interior is nice, performance is nice. For 55k, I would take the IS-F. Its not about a "coupe". We all bish about the IS rear seat room anyway, might as well be a coupe
They make a great point that this is CLK 550 competition and not really M/AMG competiton, it fills a nice gap before you get to RS models. I agree here.

0-60's are a useless measure of a vehicles overall acceleration & performance. Bench racers love 0-60's due to the lack of technicalities that lie behind such a measure.
0-60's are only one tiny side of the story behind acceleration; there are just so many factors in 0-60's unlike many other measurements.
0-60's FTL
Just thought I'd inform a little
Regarding the S5... its a very great looking ride.
PS. I track my car frequently. Zero to 60's are never part of any drag racer's discussion.

Exterior styling I'm not a fan of. In this segment, Benz IMHO has the best styling. I don't like BMW's styling either. But judging by the reviews, the performance seems great, and that interior just looks dazzling. However, the reliability problems would be a major turn off in terms of buying this car, even if I was in the market for a luxury coupe.

Well, I wouldn't cross-shop the two personally, that's why. Maybe it's because I feel the ISx50 looks better than the IS-F. I'm not a big fan of the IS-F's styling at all. I'll leave it at that and leave other IS-F comments in its appropriate thread.
