Good vid, but would have been better had they shown the finish. I suspect the E60 pulls past down the track.

The E39 M5 is still my favorite M5.

It's the sport sedan.

I have to agree with this though that V10 sounds so bad ***... I dont dislike the E60, not at all, but I do like the E39 a bit more.

Quite honestly, the old M5 is the only decent BMW ever built, besides old V12 750 and 850.

E39 M5 is a classic, no doubt, but IMHO it's starting to look old.

You know, I was kinda thinking of maybe gettin one next year and putting a good 10k into it. I remember the first one I saw in Chicago while I was parking cars for the Blue Man Group. Some trader pulled in with a blue M5. He said "make sure you leave me some gas". I was like YAAAAAAY!

well the e39 had a better launch. so maybe to 60 he was ahead ... but obviously a stock e39 m5 isnt nearly as quick as a stock e60 m5 driver for driver...

There's a whoopin' 10mph different in trap speed between the two cars. That show you how much power the E60 M5 is packing
