Default Audio Systems for those in their Teens & Twenties

How popular are Rockford Fosgate audio systems?

Any brands more popular over other brands? Bose, Pioneer, etc.

What do you and your peers look for in an audio system from the OEMs?

Interests the same for males and females?

Which part are you looking for in particular?

And why do you care if someone likes the brand or not? The main concern should be SQ.

Rockford fosgate setups are popular.

But realize a lot of brands have emphasis in specific areas.

You just have to decide what sound you're striving for and look for a brand that suits you. There are too many names to list.

Common sense would dictate that the more ppoular brands would be based on sound quality.

I'll assume you mean popular and quality:

Decks: Alpine/Eclipse are good, though eclipse is slipping from elite status much as rockford did

Speakers: Focal/JL/MB Quart/Polk are popular high quality

Amp: JL/JBL/Fosgate/Alpine

Sub: JL/Alpine/Infinity/Image dynamics

Those are just the ones off the top of my head - i prefer more expensive stuff, but those are often good performance/dollar choices

Certainly not the majority of Rockford, audiobahn, etc products

If you want sound quality beyond what your local bestbuy offers, you'll probably want to look into a more boutique brand name.

I heard Dynaudio made some good stuff. You'll find them in Volvos.

Are you looking to buy audio stuffs as a gift for a younger person? If you are, for the younger generation its MOSTLY about bass, not so much the quality of sound but the quantity of DA BOOOM
