Holy cow, Mercedes sure is proud of themselves!
Maybe they are celebrating the sale of Chrysler?
Reminds me of a good joke: how do the Germans pronounce "Daimler-Chrysler?"
The 'Chrysler' is silent...

I actually like it. It looks big, bold, and strong. It's got a really tough German look to it. I like the overall direction that Benz design is heading in, as they seem to be going back to their classic "tough German" look.

yeah I know double-wishbone front suspension, IRS rear suspension.
a joke of an awd system.
Let me guess a unibody too.
It's just screams to be taken off-road (quoted from GL-class brochure). And that giant star is bound to to impress the neighbors.
so MB's 5.5L needs premium to make less power than Toyota's 5.7L, I wish Toyota would hurry up w/the LX570. The customer is being insulted w/today's full-size luxury SUV offerings.

I Love the big gaudy grille. It works well on this gaudy truck. It looks tough. The menacing stance and grille go very well together. MB is back on that ish!!

It's certainly no Land Rover, but it's better than that GX we took before *PUKE*.

have you ever taken one off-road? it was great when we took a GL450 to the desert and great when we took it to tahoe and yosemite. If you ever go to Glamis, you dont take it easy in the desert...we actually took it up and down the dunes.

maybe in rougher terrain under professional hands, but for dunes, the GL was pretty damn good in ours. Maybe the GX has all this potential i dont know about or never used.
In that case I would correct my statement and say that the GL's full capabilities are easier to access and the GX probably has capabilities that can't be reached in my unprofessional hands?
