yeah, but this is just our observation...
maybe in rougher terrain under professional hands, but for dunes, the GL was pretty damn good in ours. Maybe the GX has all this potential i dont know about or never used.
In that case I would correct my statement and say that the GL's full capabilities are easier to access and the GX probably has capabilities that can't be reached in my unprofessional hands?

I haven't driven either off-road. Just looking at the suspension, layout and history of them. I am sure both are more than adequate.

That's not a facelift. The huge grille is only available on the GL550. What you see there is what you get standard.
When I first saw the pics of the GL500 and the huge grille I nearly puked, but as always, it's grown on me.
