One word describes t.v. marketing campaigns... Gimmicks. Is the product being advertised "as advertised"? Consumers must do their homework and not rely soley on marketing campaigns, especially when it comes to cars. Some fall victim to false advertising, while others are stay ahead of the eight ball.
There was a Case where Volvo had "Bigfoot" pounce on the car and the car was unscratched. Upon an independent test, Volvo had a reinforced car and had to pull the ad.
I saw a BMW ad today, I thought it was terrific. A woman had on high heels and cut off the one for her driving foot. Then they show the 3 series and her driving it.
Pretty cute. I always liked BMW commercials. Benz commericals, the AMG ones are very stately and mature.
I can barely remember any Audi commercials.

False advertising is illegal. I remember some independent tests done on Lexus, the champange glass one balancing on the LS. Well they did replicate it.

If I wanted to find out more about I'd certainly look it up and not just rely on the information given during the ad.
