Uh huh, cause someone from Honda corporate will speak ill of the produce theyre trying to sell. Its a problem and it has been for a long time. Start observing Hondas the next time you go out.

No, Honda corporate's job isn't to sell. It's the dealer's job to sell. And since when does a Honda salesman know anything about the manufactoring process? My father use to be a Honda salesman and he gets no knowledge from the dealer about anything other than selling cars.
I've owned hondas before and never had a rust issue. Maybe up in the north east, but hardly anyone has it down in the socal area.
On second thought, prior to my dad's 93 camry, we had a honda civic that barely rusted. Then again, the car was 17 years old by the time we sold it.

Go to the tundra forum. There are guys out there who have experienced some rust problem. I am thinking this is more due to geographical location rather than the metal itself.
how can you say the newer Hondas will have problems? Are you relying on their past history? How do you know that the newer Honda hasn't changed its formula? I hope this isn't because some salesman told you so.
Anyways, sorry guys for bringing this offtopic. Resume the discussion between the RX vs MDX.

Yeah well my dad's the U.S. Honda CEO
The rust problem is proven. I dont believe you had a Civic for 17 years and it didnt rust. Im not gonna argue it anymore either. Its a problem. Its continuing as time goes on. And thats that.

I see you're 20 years old so obviously you know everything.
You fail to show how old Honda's rusting proves that the new Honda's will also.

Rust warranty is probably not any big deal these days. All cars pretty much don't rust (ie. they use galvinized or otherwise treated metal). Now if you have damage to the area such as an accident or scratch that will be a different matter and won't be covered by warranty. Steel will rust no matter who makes the car if it's exposed and the protective galvinized layer is not intact.
The MDX is great so far. We have only 2000 miles on is and not been in snow yet.
I don't want to say the MDX is better than the RX350. The fact is the RX is a much better seller and for the same cost so it must be better in some ways, people don't spend $40K+ on a car if it's not any good.
My main point has been:
1) The MDX has 3 rows the RX does not (that's the end of the decision process for me I only looked at 3-row SUVs).
2) Acura has a good reputation (not as good as Lexus but it's fairly well respected as is Honda)
3) MDX has more power but weighs a bit more so it's not clear if one is any better performer but they are nearly the same performance.
4) MDX has SH-AWD in theory is a better system than the Lexus (since the MDX can split power side to side as well as front to back).
5) MDX may be cheaper, I got mine for $4K under MSRP as well as 2.9% loan which saves me about $1500
