Same size and almost same power as the Fit.

Just the Scion name brand will help it sell better...

My dealerships first one hit last night. I drove it this morning and it runs good. It’s no power house but compared to last years Xa or Xb the Xd runs good (it is a little bit faster out of the hole then the 08 Xb). I think it will out run a 4 banger camry (not saying much I know). It looks like the Japan one only left side drive. No push button start and the climate controls are different. Body and interior look the same. The interior trim looks like it is painted 209 (Black Sand Pearl) All in all not a bad car for $16958.00 and that’s with the nice “Pioneer Premium Audio System”. The Scion line is evolving into a good solid car line for Toyota. The interior is not as cheep as it was in the older ones (not counting the tC) My only gripe with the new Scions, The body is not as reinforced as I would like to see. Other then that, they are nice cars.

I wish Toyota would start to bring some of those options over for the smaller cars

Are you referring to the 1.5L ist? The xD we get here in North America has a 1.8L ZR engine, with far more power and torque than a Fit, yet nearly the same fuel economy as a Fit.

Err, I don't know a key that's as big as the centre of the steering wheel.

Take a look again. It's a large circle below the indicator stalk to the left of the mirror switches.

That gauge cluster is a disaster. In fact, I think it gives new meaning to the phrase "cluster fark".

Yes, that is indeed where the ignition key mechanism is supposed to go, but it's covered because instead the model has push start. Not sure of all ist models have push start standard, but that one pictured does.

ahh, you beat me to it! It indeed is a filler cap for the standard ignition mechanism.

This new “ist” will target manly men in their thirties who are looking for a compact but stylish car for men.
Glad I'm not in the target demographics, lol

I've seen more exciting toasters.
