Default The Toyota Ist (ScionXD) Modelista

The Toyota Ist (ScionXD) Modelista

We recently told you about the launch of the brand new Toyota "Ist" (Scion xD), if you didn't like its look, here is a second chance with an esthetically modified version called "Modelista".

The success of many local tuners got Toyota, and most Japanese manufacturers, thinking about ways to propose similar products right in the showrooms in order to offer a wider range of possibilities and, of course, attract more potential buyers. The result is a nice looking body kit made of the usual front/rear bumpers (+ exhaust), sideskirts and dark alloy rims...giving the IST a sportier look.

An excellent way to change the identity of this city car!

This new “ist” will target manly men in their thirties who are looking for a compact but stylish car (under a verrrrrrrry tight budget) for men.

I thought it was a typo, as in MAINLY MEN, but is MANLY MEN???

That last picture looks good though. For a "compact but stylish car", I would get something like the S2000.

anyone noticed how marketing makes you think it's a new vehicle (xA vs. xD) when it's really the same (Ist)??

i.e. "Scion will get a new vehicle every time with no "generations"... so much for the 2nd gen xB lol.

The great thing about any Scion is not what it is stock, but rather the potential of what it can become with the right modifications...

I think the entire front end is a mess... too contrived and busy-looking.

Hopefully, the car will look better in person. Where the new xB
seems to have decent proportions, this one looks too tall.

Reminds me of the old Echo; we used to call it a "clown car."

That last Modelista version does look pretty cool, though!

TRD modifies the Toyota IST

Toyota has put the IST (Scion xD) on sale a couple weeks ago in Japan and the wizard of sportivity, called TRD in that case, now presents its very own version aimed at all those who want to give their IST a more agressive look!

The looks yes, that's what it is about because as you know, nowadays you can't use the words "Turbo" or "Supercharger" without the words "high gas consumption" and "not eco friendly"...so...what if the new driving pleasure was owning a car that LOOKS fast?

That was just my opinion though, back to the TRD treatment on the IST, as you can see on the pictures, the body kit is looking pretty good including front/rear bumpers, side skirts, exhaust, nice rims and a couple "touches" inside as well. An excellent style, especially when you compare it to a "standard IST.
