VOLKSWAGEN REPORTS JULY 2007 SALES
Entry level Rabbit posts continued growth
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. —Volkswagen of America, Inc. today announced July 2007 sales of 19,653 vehicles, representing a decrease of 13.1 percent over July 2006 unit sales of 22,627. On a year-to-date basis, Volkswagen brand vehicle sales are down three percent through July.
The revival of the entry level Rabbit hatchback model continues to build momentum in the United States, posting a 19.5 percent gain over July 2006 sales. July 2007 also marked the return of the sporty R32, last sold in the 2004 model year.

of 156,314 passenger vehicles in the U.S. for July 2007, an 9 percent
decrease compared to July 2006. All sales figures in this release are on an
unadjusted basis unless otherwise noted.
Chrysler Group, consisting of the Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge brands,
posted sales of 137,728 vehicles in the U.S., an 8 percent decline in July.
Driven by the Chrysler Sebring Sedan and Sebring Convertible, total
Chrysler brand car sales increased 32 percent year-over-year. In addition,
the New Chrysler Lifetime Powertrain Warranty -- the first from an OEM and
the longest in the industry -- is a statement of confidence in the
reliability of Chrysler products, and provides worry-free ownership for new
Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge customers as long as they own their vehicles.
Following its most aggressive product launch in company history of 10
all-new vehicles in 2006, Chrysler Group continues its product offensive
with the launch of eight all- new vehicles in 2007.
MBUSA recorded 18,586 new car sales for July, bringing its year-to-date
total to 136,826 units, a 0.2 percent increase compared to the same period
last year and marking the best year-to-date sales volume in its history.
Highlights for the month include a 12 percent increase in sales of
Mercedes- Benz high-end vehicles (S-, SL-, and CL-Classes) and a 23 percent

MBUSA Records Best Year-to-Date Sales for the Period
MONTVALE, N.J., Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today
reported sales of 18,586 new vehicles for July, bringing the company's
year- to-date total to 136,826 units, a 0.2 percent increase compared to
the same period last year and marking the best year-to-date sales volume in
its history.
With significant boosts in sales for both the S-Class and CL-Class
(12.9 percent and 561.5 percent increases respectively), highlights for
July sales include a 12 percent increase in sales of Mercedes-Benz high-end
vehicles (S-, SL-, and CL-Classes) as a group. SUVs also showed growth,
with the company's highly acclaimed M-Class model line's 23 percent
increase (3,015 vs. 2,446 units) for the month.
Compared to the first seven months of 2006, the same period this year
marked increases from the volume-leading C-Class with its 13.4 percent gain
(31,619 vs. 27,881 units) to the exclusive CL-Class luxury coupe's 436.2
percent increase (2,043 vs. 381 units). As a group, Mercedes-Benz's light
truck offerings posted a year-to-date increase of 12.4 percent (39,804 vs.
35,413 SUVs), including a seven percent jump for the M-Class and 87.7
percent growth for the seven-passenger full-sized GL-Class.
Separately, through the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned program,
MBUSA marked a 1.1 percent increase for July sales with 4,417 vehicles
sold, bringing year-to-date sales to a total of 30,475 units, an increase
of 11.8 percent over the same period in 2006.

Audi Reports Sales Increase for July
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Audi of America, Inc. today
announced sales for the month of July. Audi sold 7,127 vehicles during the
month, an increase of 1.7% from last year's figures. To date, Audi has sold
52,838 vehicles in 2007, an 11.3% increase over the previous year.
Several key markets also recorded significant increases including New
York, Los Angeles, Miami and Chicago.
Audi Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) sales also are up for the year. CPO
sales for 2007 total 15,088, an increase of 3.9%.

vehicles, but overall sales declined sharply in July.
Total July sales were 195,245, down 19 percent compared with a year
ago. Sales to daily rental companies were down 57 percent and sales to
individual retail customers were down 17 percent. The company's crossover
utility vehicle sales were up 40 percent in July and year-to-date -- the
largest increase of any major manufacturer.
"We are encouraged by the progress we have made and consumers' response
to our new products," said Mark Fields, Ford's President of the Americas.
"At the same time, we know we have a lot of work to do, and July is a
sobering reminder of the economic and competitive challenges we face."
In July, Ford Edge sales were 9,096 and Lincoln MKX sales were 2,870.
Edge recently was recognized as the industry's top performing new vehicle
in J.D. Power and Associates' 2007 Automotive Performance, Execution and
Layout Study (APEAL).
Sales for the redesigned 2008 model Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner
crossovers were higher in July. Escape sales were 12,440, and Mariner sales
were 2,534, both up 2 percent compared with a year ago.

reported July sales of 15,438 total units. Sales of the redesigned 2008
Subaru Tribeca were up as the new models began arriving in dealer showrooms
across the country.
Subaru Tribeca sales in July were up four percent over the same period
last year totaling 1,680 units. Subaru Legacy recorded 6,322 unit sales,
while the Outback accounted for 4,338 units of that line for the month.
Subaru Forester recorded a July total of 3,678 units, while the Subaru
Impreza line posted 3,713 units for the month. The discontinued Subaru Baja
also recorded 45 units in July.

Porsche Posts Best July Sales Ever
ATLANTA--Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs in the United States and Canada, today announced its third consecutive record month in the United States. In the U.S., Porsche achieved a slight increase of 1 percent in total July sales with 3,230 new cars sold vs. 3,202 units sold in July 2006.
Porsche's new generation Cayenne continued to perform well with sales of 1,149, up 24 percent over last July when sales were 924. Year-to-date sales for both the Cayenne and 911 were ahead by 7 percent over the same period last year. The Cayman also achieved impressive sales of 261, an increase of 35 percent over the previous July sales of 194.
July 31 marked the end of Porsche's fiscal year 06/07. Despite Porsche's change to its new generation Cayenne, PCNA closed the fiscal year respectably with total North American sales of 35,398 new cars, resulting in only a slight decrease of 3.5 percent over the previous fiscal year when sales were 36,669.
In addition, dealers sold 515 Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned cars in July vs. 503 for the same period last year.

Toyota Reports July Sales
TORRANCE, Calif., Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Toyota Motor Sales (TMS),
U.S.A., Inc., today reported July sales of 224,058 vehicles, a decrease of
3.5 percent from July 2006.
"The industry stumbled this month, on continued housing weakness," said
Jim Lentz, TMS executive vice president. "Though Toyota didn't match last
July's record-setting sales, heightened demand for hybrids and crossovers
is reassuring, particularly with the next generation Highlander just now
hitting showrooms."
The Toyota Division posted July sales of 196,917, down 4.5 percent from
last July. The Lexus Division reported best-ever July sales of 27,141
units, an increase of 4.9 percent.
Toyota Division
Toyota Division passenger cars recorded July sales of 112,153, a
decrease of 10.2 percent from last July. Passenger car sales were led by
Camry, which posted July sales of 41,514, up 3.2 percent over the same
period last year. Camry Hybrid reported sales of 4,329 units in July. The
Prius hybrid gas-electric mid-size sedan posted best-ever July sales of
16,062, an increase of 50.5 percent over July 2006. Corolla reported July
sales of 29,719 units.
Toyota Division light truck sales were up 4.2 percent, with a best-ever
July total of 84,764 units. Light truck sales were led by the all-new
Tundra full-size pickup with all-time best-ever sales of 23,150, an
increase of 134.5 percent over the year-ago month. The RAV4 compact sport
utility vehicle (SUV) reported best-ever July sales of 14,494, up 2.3
percent over the same period last year. Highlander and Highlander Hybrid
posted combined July sales of 8,858. The Highlander Hybrid gas-electric
mid-size SUV reported sales of 1,205 units for the month.
Scion posted July sales of 11,640 units. The tC sports coupe led the
way with July sales of 6,229 units. The xB urban utility vehicle posted
sales of 5,073 units for the month.

an increase of 0.2 percent over the same period last year. The RX 350 and
RX 400h enjoyed combined July sales of 8,413 units, up 3.2 percent over
July 2006. The RX 400h hybrid luxury utility vehicle reported sales of
1,385 units for the month, up 18.0 percent over the year-ago month.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 1, 2007) – Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today reported sales of 87,877 units in July, up 5.9 percent from the prior year. Nissan Division sales increased by 7.6 percent over last year. Infiniti Division sales decreased by 5.9 percent versus the prior year.
NISSAN HIGHLIGHTS
· July sales for Nissan-brand vehicles of 78,351 units increased by 7.6 percent on a daily sales rate basis compared with last year’s 75,860 units sold.
· The Altima, with the addition of the Altima Coupe to its lineup, posted sales of 24,464 units, up 44.2 percent over last year.

Hyundai Motor America Reports July 2007 Sales
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor America
recorded July sales of 43,511, a decrease of eight percent over the same
period last year. Vehicle sales were led by Sonata which posted July sales
of 14,802, up five percent over the same period last year. The Entourage
posted sales totaling 1,544, an increase of 16 percent and the all-new
Veracruz reported its fourth consecutive record sales month.
"July was a challenging month industry wide. Although we are off to a
slower than anticipated start going into the third quarter, we are
confident the summer selling season has yet to peak and expect stronger
sales in the next couple of months," said Dave Zuchowski, vice president,
National Sales, Hyundai Motor America. "With increased availability of the
fuel-efficient Accent and Elantra, in addition to continued growth of the
all-new premium crossover Veracruz and mid-size crossover Santa Fe, we look

in July led Acura to 14,381*, the division announced today. Acura
year-to-date sales reached 105,921 units, an 8.0 percent decline versus

Kia Motors America Announces Best July Sales Ever
IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Kia Motors America (KMA) today
announced record July sales of 26,690 units and the Kia Sorento had its
best month of the year with 4,342 units sold. KMA remains on track toward
another annual sales record with year-to-date sales of 181,082 units, a
