I agree. Location is where it matters most. Steel will rust regardless, unless its stainless steel. A friend of mine has a 93 accord coupe (he's on this forum) and he has no rust at all, even on the wheel well area.

Then again, there are newer Tundras with rust problems, but when you look at what they all have in common, they all originated from the north eastern states.

Us guys in southern california have it good. Our temperature is modelatey warm and we dont have that kind of humidity, or snow. It's just normal rain and sunshine. Hardly, if any cars down here rust, even if its a honda. Hell, many old junky early 80s dodge don't even have rust that's related to the quality of the car. Most cars that rusts here are cars that had its paint scratched out or something.

We had a 1986 Honda Accord hatch. Sold it at 450,000 miles. We NEVER even removed the cylinder heads on that car. We just replaced the tranny twice with a used one.
