Acura NSX VS Ferrari 348 VS Porsche 911!!! WHICH ONE WOULD YOU TAKE????

+1. I wouldnt even consider a 348 (I think the 911 & NSX are much better choices). You should read through the forums and gather some more research before considering. I wouldnt go after such a car like this just to say you own a Ferrari. Plus, they are not exactly cheap or easy to maintain. Ferrari, Lambo, and Porsche forums have a wealth of info on this car. And IMO, by reading those forums every now and then, by todays standards not many people have good things to say about them.

The numbers I have are from the NA2 NSX.... Please read them again and you will see.
355 is in a whole diffrent price range thats why I am not comparing it. It is from $70-$90K and the 348 is $40-$55K NSX $35-$45 and 993 is $35-$45. Thats why I am comparing these cars and not vettes (not that I would buy one).

The engine specs are from an NA2, but the performance numbers you mentioned are more like from an NA1 automatic. I know for sure the 3.0 L 258HP automatic NSX's can run 5.8 seconds pretty easy. My 92 5-Speed was an easy mid 5 second car. The NA2 6-Speed was more like a 5 second flat car with an occasional sub 5 second run from various people.
Seriously, no wonder everyone things the NSX is dog slow. It isn't the fasting thing in the world but it sure is faster than what has been posted especially for an NA2.
For the record. I too would choose the NSX from what was posted. As Mike said, through in the F355 and you have a much more apples to apples comparison. If people say the NSX was a slow piece of junk that only had exotic looks but no performance that could be the exact same thing said for the 348 compared to cars of its time. You can also though in over priced.

So why are you even wasting our time making like you are thinking about getting one of these 3 cars if the NSX is nothing more than a slow exotic looking S2000? It is pretty obvious you don't like the NSX and wouldn't buy it anyway. You need a Supra so you can make a HP monster out of it. Probably the perfect evolution from your SC300 anyway. I used to own an SC before. Pretty good car but it wasn't for me.

The SC Isent for me either thats why I am selling it. I need a sports car. I love ferrari but cant afford a 355 thats why I am considering a 348, But NSX has the looks and beats ferrari in preformance.
This is why I want to know what people would choose.

Of the three, I'd pick the NSX even though the 993 is one of my favorite cars. We've owned an NSX and currently own a Porsche (996). The Porsche is a better everyday car IMO but as my wife says "every dentist owns one". The NSX has edgier performance and gets a lot more attention. Both Porsche and NSX are high quality cars and that is the primary reason I'd discard the Ferarri unless you want to double your budget to prepare for ongoing parts and labor.
Our NSX (sold a couple of years ago)
Our 911
If you were planning to take part in a lot of track/motorsports stuff I'd do the Porsche however - much better support and organization.

I remember seeing the NSX at the dragon. It was a nice clean car.
I much rather prefer the Porsche you have now though.
As far a the thread, gimme the P-car anyday. The NSX does nothing for me, the Ferrari is just a bucket of parts waiting to fall apart.

I'm 23 years old... and by the time I'm finally done with school/training in 2016 or 2017, there are going to be two cars that I will forever regret not being able to get while they were still in production or on the used market in decent condition at affordable price . One of them is the NA2 NSX (the other one is the 1990 LS400).
There is definitely something to be said about the old air-cooled 911's like the 993 you're looking at, but I still would go with the NSX.
