lol fine call me a streacher, maybe on the ferrari but on anything else, i actually like older models of cars . i would buy an old quatroporte anyday, not because its a way to say u own a maserati, but because i actually like it, even if it does look funny. and well maybe im a strecher because im young and rite now i just want to drive anything period and to say that it would be a ferrari, even if it was crap well it would make my day

If money and maitenace cost were no object, you'd still buy a 348 and not F430? Lamborghini Mercielago? Galardo? McLaren F1? Obviously for anyone considering a used NSX or Ferrari 348 money is a consideration.

Like I said, I am a HUGE Ferrari fan, but this is just a bit too Miami Vice for me.
The 355 mostly fixed the 348's styling and performance shortcomings,
and I like the 355 a lot. The 355 would be the oldest of the "recent" Ferraris
I would buy, and it would be a six-speed, not an F1 (the early F1
transmissions certainly had their issues with clutches) and it would be
a hard top, not a targa or a spyder.
Also, don't think for a minute that buying a used 348 instantly gets you
into the Ferrari "good old boys" club. Most of the serious Ferraristi
recognize the 348 as a good starter Ferrari, but you won't even be in the
same league as the guys with the newer cars. I've seen it happen at
local Ferrari meets and car show events; I hate to say it, but owners
of newer Ferraris by-in-large disregard the 348 and 355 models!
Of course, owners of those newer Ferraris had to start somewhere,
but most guys with a 430 or 599 have owned MANY Ferraris throughout
the years; it will take you a while to work your way onto their playground!

I used to own a 2000 S2000 when they first came out and I didnt hear then end of the crap and I got sick of it.

If your that concerned about what people think, you are in trouble. No matter what you get, people will say something.

yes, i have and i enjoyed it to. and if this guy is looking at a 911 , a nsx, and an m3, i think he is looking for a sporty car. and since its a weeked car, its not like the ride would be something he could not live with. just my opinion.

A dude at work owns an Elise and that thing is a toy. If you get into a
collision with a Dodge Neon on that thing the Neon will crush it like a
tin can.
As for the Honda thing, the NSX transcends the Honda badge. Its
design and ride are timeless. If you buy the Ferrari or the Porsche
many will say you could not afford a 997 or a F430 anyways, so
oh well, there are haters everywhere about every car.
