I agree, although I'd take a Vette instead . Performance has increased so much over the past 10-15 years that it's almost not worth it to get an old 'exotic' like a 911, NSX or 348 when you can get a brand new car that is MUCH more reliable, much faster, and even better looking. About the only reason to get an older exotic is rarity and the 911 and NSX aren't rare at all

Not a fair comparison.
The 348 is crap. It shouldn't even be in this discussion. The much improved 355 is a better candidate.
The NA2 NSX is much faster than listed. You listed numbers for an NA1 NSX with the 3.0 engine and 5 speed, and conservative numbers at that.
The 993, though loved by purists, has an extremely outdated interior. I think the 996 is a better choice.
If the 348, NA2 NSX and 993 are your choices, then it's not even close. NSX.
A better discussion would be 355 vs. NA2 NSX vs. 996.

355 is in a whole diffrent price range thats why I am not comparing it. It is from $70-$90K and the 348 is $40-$55K NSX $35-$45 and 993 is $35-$45. Thats why I am comparing these cars and not vettes (not that I would buy one).

If reliability and maintenance cost are not taken in consideration, the Ferrari 348. It will continue to hold its value despite being a so so performer.
It's the image that counts.
Let's face it, most of us don't buy a Ferrari to drag race on the street anyway.
