i think its ugly, it looks more like old school Mazda MVP/MPV if you just glance at the side ,try not looking at the headlights,in the first pic, too boxy ,Nitro wannabe, I'd take Odyssey over that heap any day, next down would be Sienna, if you ever actually owned or rented Dodge or Chrysler van, you'd know, there is no quality in fit and finish, trash and boogers in paint, all doors don't line up with adjacent parts ,same goes for the front sheetmetal, take a look at the hardware used to attach bumpers, tailights, fender liners,e.t.c.,plus very cheap interiors and handle like crap on the road,

Their current minivan lineup looks more appealing. Too bland and boring. Looks like their decade old model. The interior may be innovative, but unless they up the quality of materials, give me a simple interior without all the bells and whistles. And the most important thing of all... they need to improve their reliability. The extent of their transmission issues with no fixes for almost a decade is ridiculous. The Caravan we have had to have the tranny overhauled 3 times so far, all under warranty, is unacceptable. First problem after 30k miles. Just gonna drive this one into the ground. After that, rather get a kia than another chrysler vehicle. I don't even have to look at the car next to me. As it is coming to a stop, if I hear a loud creaking tranny, I know its a chrysler. Pieces of junk IMHO.

the swiveling captain seats and the table are a pretty sweet idea! but its still a minivan.

Families will be interested in seeing what it has to offer as far as amenities are concerned, but most families need something that is reliable and durable to handle multiple people frequently. The Japanese trump American engineering with that aspect.
Otherwise, the van definately has the looks and functionality that far surpasses what other competitors have.

I also like the swivel seats and table. One of the best features of the old fullsize conversion vans has made it to the minivan segment, and I'll give Chrysler (or whatever their name is now
) kudos for that. But the exterior is eeh, and the dash is ATROCIOUS. In two years, Honda and Toyota will have the swiveling seats and table, but this van will still look dull and be unreliable.

Overall the exterior design looks cheap and derivative. Too many similar
styling cues to the Caliber and Aspen.
The interior center stack looks horrible. Perhaps the angle exaggerates
the height of the stack. Another ocean of plastic- perfect for rental
fleets so they can just hose the whole shootin' match out between
customers!
Even the headliner looks cheap. Like fleece covering cardboard.![Thumb Down](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)
The Odyssey, while "old," still trumps this mess from Chrysler.

Here's a sales comparison of the top players year to date though July 2007.
Dodge Caravan: 110,507
Chrysler Town & Country: 81,615
Total Dodge/Chrysler sales: 192,122 (pretty much same vehicle)
Honda Odyssey: 94,479
Toyota Sienna: 84,948
So Chrysler some how still manages to sell more of their OLD minivans than Toyota and Honda COMBINED.
BTW, these Chrysler minivan sales reflect a decline of about 20% for 2007 from 2006 in anticipation for 2008 models.

They may help, but that doesn't change to many minds about what car to purchase. Chrysler minivans have always been #1 since their inception in 1984.
BTW, the new lifetime powertrain warrenty will certainly help boost sales even more for the new 2008's. It's going to be cool getting repairs covered by warrenty when your Chrysler vehicle has like 250,000 miles on it.

For clarification, does this include fleet sales? (rental cars, taxis, etc.)

I'm not sure what the big "hoo-ha" is!
