Thumbs up BMW 335i Coupe vs. IS-F

I think the 335i Coupe WITH PROCEDE will beat out a IS-F......reason:

with procede someone on e90post.com posted a RWHp of 380+ and torque at 370+......do you think it will beat the IS-F at 415hp???

I think it will or at least give the IS-F a run for its money, especially considerin the price differance I'd rather take a 335i IMO....$500 for Procede.

Hartge has a 380 hp package for the 335 as well including much desired LSD.. I will post up a vid of that car in action tonight.. IS-F is not out yet buddy.. Just have to wait and see.

As stated above, we simply can only speculate for now. However, I can see the OP's reasoning, the 335 is already very fast and chipped faster.

We are also comparing stock vs modded. Time will tell!!

Yes, but we have yet to see the long-term effects (at least 2 years) of running the higher power that the chipped 335's do. I'm NOT saying this because it's BMW or german, it's just that this needs to be taken into consideration when you're raising boost, hp, and tq on any car over OEM spec. It may give the M3 a run for its money. It might not be as fast as it, but it could get pretty darn close.

In fact, if you're looking for straight up performance (or maybe just straight-line speed), it will probably not be difficult to make a 335i faster than the new M3... It's really in the same boat as the IS-F.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure the IS-F will have more than 415 hp. My guess is at LEAST 425.

Please, the 335 is a joke, its only fast for a few minutes, until it overheats and goes into limp mode.

Really?
But I think the real comparison should be IS-F VS M3, 425 VS 414, all stock, and NA.

Okay....this thread is of course speculative, but from what it looks like the 335i has enough POTENTIAL to beat the IS-F and the new M3.....however you do have to mod it and run risk of relability issues whereas the latter of the three do it stock.

Still it sucks when you get handed your cake by a car that costs 20K+ less, while looking better doing it.

Can you tell I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 335i Coupe 6sp?

I think a Procede 335i will be funner than an IS-F. Why? Because the 335i is available in a true manual

Lexus needs to bring more coupes & manual transmission vehicles into their line-up; they're way behind in that department.

sure it has the potential to beat both those cars in a straight line, but as far as the sheer driving experience and the balance the M3 will have, it'll be damn hard for the 335i to beat out the M3 which has the entire M-Division behind it for tuning, versus a chip and LSD...

Recently did a dyno of a Procede car on a local Mustang Dyno and it spat out 280whp on 91 octane Cali gas. I think there's a lot of exageration going on, but I expect the ISF to probably be around the same ballpark figure. However, reliability is a whole complete different issue (Do a google search for Evo and Vishnu

Supposedly the new IF-S will be unlike anything toyota has ever released.

But comparing a modded 335 to a stock IS-F isn't really a comparison at all. I dont have to get into the modded civic vs ferarri story, but any car can be made to hang with another so as long as it can be modded.

+1 Agree 100%. It's amazing how many choices, we as consumers, are given nowadays!
