I agree. Everything (Exterior-wise) is an upgrade from the 7th gen accord. The problem is how everything was put together.

It's like making pizza. You can have the best flour, tomato sauce, pepperoni, etc. But if you dont know what the hell you're doing with these ingrediants, you're not going to make the best pizza.

The coupe I kind of like, but the sedan does look like the Hyundai

It looks like a 5-Series and a 6-Series. Also from the front I see the previous gen Altima somwhat. Not necessarily a bag thing I think it looks fine. The interior looks good but I am prefer a touch screen navigation for some reason. The Camry interior I have to say blows compared to this.

I like it. Looks like theres a few German design cues. The Accord coupe is easily the best looking car in its class.

The coupe looks so much better than the sedan. I actually like the Camry's exterior more than the new Accord sedan (probably the first time ever for me) except for that "nose emblem" over the grill.
The new interior of the Accord looks nicer than anything in it's class, & I like the steering wheel of the sedan more than the coupe's.

I could say that styling is in the eye of the beholder but the thing about this new Accord is that it is so derivative of other cars. A little this and a lot of that, especially BMW (both inside and out). Anyone who bashes Hyundai for their "inspirations" better remember this Accord. I have no question about the engineering and quality, and yes, in these areas I do think it will match or surpass the Camry. Handling an steering should at least match Altima's (Camry is an absolute turd in these areas).

Honda is excellent at engineering but they certainly packaged it in the most unimaginative wrapper they could think of.

Really?

Altima 4 cyl. gets better mpg than the Accord 4 cyl. or the Camry 4 cyl.

Altima V6 gets better city mpg than the Accord V6 or Camry V6.

Only mpg area where the Altima falls short is the V6 mileage on the highway.

Compared to its competition, the Camry, it's a home run.

I think the looks of the coupe are quite like the new MB CL!!!

Perhaps you should read the Motor Trend comparison article that is also in CarChat.

Altima is not yet rated using the 2008 EPA fuel economy standards. The V6 will lose to the Camry and Accord V6 for fuel efficiency. 4 cyl comparisons may be tight.
