bmw 335i coupe with piggy -- it's a jet!!!!!
so finally today i had the chance to meet with my friend who just recently bought a bmw 335i coupe. he started putting some stuff here and there, most noticeably, of course, is the piggy back he put in not too long ago.
the 335i is already a pretty fast car to begin with. after he put in the chip he told me the car is scary fast. without understanding fully, i asked him to give me a little demo today
he got on the highway at around 50-60mph i guess, and was like "alright here we go...."
before i could blink my eye, i looked over at the speedometer and it was reading 80 already!!! i kept on staring at it. and it just kept on going.... 100, 110, 120, 125, 130, 135.... holy cow, he blew it all the way to 130mph in NO TIME! maybe 8 or 10 seconds, but it was FAST!!!!!!
and most of all? the car was soooo effortless. he said he didn't completely floor the car, almost, but not full. and the car was so stable and so smooth, it was an unbelievable experience! i did 130mph in my gs400 before, it was nothing like this. the car was floaty, engine was screaming.. but the 335i was like just cruising and continuing to ask for more....
omg...... i was scared, not at the speed but how scary powerful the car is. this is crazy! i forgot how much hp he told me the chip does, but it's probably a good 50 or so at the wheel
what's even more? the v2 of the chip is coming soon, and that will add another 40-50whp if i remember right.... i can only imagine....
the other night a e46 m3 tried to play him and he completely left the car.... he slowed down for the m3 to catch up and the m3 owner was like wtf and gave him a thumb up....
man, what a car!!!!! now i feel bad for the new m3, it's not even widely available yet but a modded 335i can already easily give a good run for its money
WOW, just WOW

Maybe this modded 335i will even give the IS-F a run?

I have a track friend I plan to see at our monthly competition later today who told me last month he was chipping his 335i, so hopefully he has it ready today. Beautiful machines, amazing that the chip can keep such stability on the acceleration.

Not quite. 2.0 of the PROcede should add ~20-25hp and maybe 40lb/ft of torque, nice thing is it'll increase fuel economy along with that, though. With downpipes folks should be putting down over 400hp/420tq to the wheels.

Decisions, decisions. I love the 335i and all its potential. I like the A5/S5 looks just a bit more though as well as the interior. I just can't decide which car I want to buy. I have a Bimmer now so I'm familiar with them and the 335i is a beast. I'm just glad there are so many good options out there now.
It seems like with every review, every personal experience, chipped or not the 335i just gets better and better.
