Also thinking about getting the RRS for the wife. Doesn't drive far so the miles would be low. I was scared when I got her a VW so I leased it and it worked out well. I would lease the RRS in a heartbeat, but anyone care to chime in about the tax write off to companies?
Is it just to new cars, or "new to you" cars?

I know I can do the depreciation through our company, but haven't talked to the accountant yet. My head is telling me don't worry about purchasing, just lease it so you can get rid of it if problems arise. Better safe then sorry with a lemon you can't get rid of.

The tax accelerated depreciation is on "new to you" vehicles.

Probably still go the lease route and could always buy it out.

I love them. If I had the money, I'd buy one. But reliability scares me too.

I love my 2004 RR. She always has something wrong but dont all good lookin' women? Anywho she sure came through in the last two snowstorms. Love the interior and thankfully the problems have always been minor. When she's is not around I drive the GS.

The RR HSE is beautiful and definitely stands out from all the rest, but the quality sucks. http://www.rangerovers.net/ gives you a list of common problems with all models. I have 2 friends that have them, one the alternator just died under 100k and the other; rear a/s air bag popped. They both had to pay over $1200 in repairs each. The reliability scares me.
