I am a huge fan of the Benz CLS.

I like the CLS exterior most of the time, except when I think of bananas...anyhow it's really sleek on the outside, but inside it feels cramped to me. It's also the antithesis of Benz history where the engineering came first over the looks, but that era has long since passed.

I did a 180 on this car. When I first saw pictures, I thought it was the ugliest sedan since the Infiniti J30. But upon seeing it in real life, I couldn't have been more wrong. I'd take it over any sedan today (if reliability wasn't an issue).

To be honest the CLS doesn't quite do it for me.
It's a sexy idea for a car, and I dig that, but I feel like it falls short in practicality.
The crazy slope of the rear roofline makes the rear seat awkward and almost claustrophobic feeling. The rear of the car looks like a mess and doesn't flow well to the front of the car. The interior just looks like a mess to me. Reliability is mediocre, residual values are reflective.
Overall it's like the car has the functionality of a Coupe but it doesn't have the sexiness of one and is very overweight.
Oh well, I'm in the minority, I know

The biggest difference physically is the way how you enter and exit from the rear. The cls with the extra 2 door makes it much easier than the cl.
Off course they're different in class, but practicality (in a coupe???) and design wise, the cls is better.
I used to bash it as a recycled overpriced E class, but no more
