turbo, 6spd manual, rwd.

oh and don't forget about the 6-pot brakes up front. i really like this car - it's simple. kinda brings back the memories of the e30.

Exactly. Great point. I like what BMW did with the 1 series; I think it will end up being a success imo. It actually doesn't look bad either in those pics...the black hides its' lines lol

If they put badges on toaster ovens, people would drive them.

To my suprise, the car looks great! A smaller 335i for those wanting one. This thing will indeed be quicker than a 335i. I say 0-60 in 4.5 for the 135i vs. 4.8 for the 335.

A car that will deliver similar performance without the cartoon/anime look??

I dont like the way the 1-series looks at all, but Im sure it will be a spirited performer. I just think there will be a ton of people buying it just because its a BMW and barely for anything else.

I agree. *note to self* Don't lineup next to a 1-series when they come out.
I bet it would be a fun weekend track car but not as a daily. It is just too ugly. BTW, is it me or is the interior more cheap than usual? Obviously the car is not about looks but the interior shots make me believe I am looking at the inside of a neon or something.

That's probably true, but my toaster doesn't have a 300lb/ft of torque twin turbo inline 6 in it. I can only dream!
