I agree that the peek-a-boo rear windows are annoying (one of the penalties for the chopped-roof styling), and that the interior and exterior hardware is mostly thin, El Cheapo plastic. But the car has its good points, too. The price is reasonable, the Hemi, as you note, has good torque across the board, and the chassis, transmission, and basic frame are Mercedes E-Class derived for strength and safety.

True, but it's the sheer vast quantities of fleet sales of this Charger that annoy me. I've seen Audi, Lexus, and Acuras rented out from Hertz. But it's how the Charger has pretty much become the typical "full size rental" (along with the Chevy Impala) that annoys me. I mean, it's as if the Toyota Supra became the mainstay "two-door rental" and the Lexus ES350 became a midsize at all rental locations. That would be annoying too, right?
