A chipped NA motor won't do much you'll have to combine in intake headers cams etc.......to see major gains.

so i was talking to my friend with the 335i and the PROcede chip. he's been talking to me about the v2 that they are coming out (he's getting it!) and here are some numbers. remember this is just beta chip setup and on 93 pump gas

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...91&postcount=1

with exhaust and the v2 beta, the car pushes over 370rwhp. i really don't know how the m3 can walk away

LOL and i suppose adding more hp to 'the ultimate mechanics dream' will make it even more reliable than it already is

i truly hope that whoever gets this mod starts changing the synthetic oil @ 5k, i doubt even synthetic can live long enough to effectively lubricate a turbo charged motor and its turbocharger for 15k miles (standard BMW interval) especially when the engine runs hot enough already, if not I pray for your engines life. 15k on synthetic in a N/A car is doable, but on a turbocharged motor?

Absolutely. I go just under 17k on my current bimmer (per the OBCs recommendation) and my UOAs say it's safe to go much longer. However when I pick up a 335i convertible in a year or two, I will definitely be putting the PROcede (and exhaust) on it, and will unequivocally be changing the oil (with Amsoil European 0w40, just like now) on a much shorter interval.

BMW changes your oil annually even if you do not meet the 15k oil change interval..

The PROcede is not warranted by BMW. It is a dealers call to warrant a car with it, but generally about 0% will do warranty work on a car if they find it. BMW dealers don't sell it, well, not with BMW's blessing anyway. The idea behind a piggyback is the dealer doesn't find it (theoretically). If Dinan comes out with a reflash then it will be warrantied (rumor is they are), and it will likely be an entire reflash, not a piggyback.

That's the question I have before in another post. The M3 "only" have 414 (424?) Hp, and been a V8 NA motor, it is hard to push another 50Hp on it ( especially with M engines ) unless SC it, but with 335, it is eaily matching the numbers with M3, and the extra cost of getting a M3, can be used as another mods or even a nice set of wheels...

yup, exactly. that's been what i question about bmw when they decided on FI 335 vs v8 m3. it would be so much easier to tune the FI engine and still leave a lot of pocket change

Typical but expected words from a IS350 owner, get the IS-F if you want to compete power for power wait never mind by the time it comes out people will be putting single turbo kits on the 335i and the IS-F won't have a chance. Don't get me wrong I love toyota/lexus but a factory turbo setup will always be more fun than NA to me. Reliability is another issue but it is what it is.

Eh? Redline is around 6500, peak power comes on around 5500, which is typicaly for any combustion engine....either the guy doesn't know how to drive or another case of overbloated hyped numbers.

Here's a dyno chart (Dynojet) of a Procede 335i:

Someone already hit 12.5x with Procede/exhaust and no LSD. I don't care what some of you haters say, that is FAST.

That's pretty impressive, FI is the best platform to start out with. There will always be haters, While the IS350 is nice for what it is once the modding begins a Turbo platform like the 335I will always be better as far as bang for the buck. I'm tired of seeing some of these IS350 drivers think that their car is untouchable, some of them even put down IS250 owners because the 250 is not as fast as theirs I'm probably going to get a PM from a mod about the comments I made here but I'm just saying it as I see it.

I'll get it probably soon but I will wait to install it. I want to see how the tune is and how the afr/dynos/etc/etc looks.
