Default Does anyone have the new G37 coupe?

I turn to CL for some inputs/thoughts/criticisms and if possible with the price and options that you got it for

A friend is looking to buy one, possibly the Coupe Journey with navigation.

The coupe is looking mighty nice with the 330 hp.

I got quoted $44,384 for a G37 Sport with the 4 wheel active steer.

Sticker. No discount, which is a deal breaker.

Reason I did not buy it was it is not AWD, winter is coming and
I cannot help but feel that going into entry level lux is a downgrade,
even if the car performs way better than my GS300...

GS doesnt have 310 hp after SAE corrected, the 330 hp on the G37 has already been SAE corrected. It will beat the 430

At our big monthly car meet, saw a G37, G35c and new Altima coupe. They look way to similar for me now, very sad. IMO, the G35c looks best, then G37, the Altima looks similar from the side the front and rear are quite ungainly to me.

G37 interior blows them both out the water. I think under 40k, its a good deal (not as good as the G35 sedan) over 40k, I'd get the 335.

What does any of this nonsense have to do with this thread? I don't recall anyone asking if the G37 looks like a Nissan Altima coupe.

The OP asked if anyone has the new G37 and for their opinions/thoughts. Do you own one?

I don't own one, so I'm not going to give my opinion on it in this thread. Clearly, the OP was referring to current owners of the G37 coupe and I'm going to follow the board rules and stay on topic so my post isn't deleted by the moderators (as I know that can be an issue on here from time to time).

How about "ISHOWU" what the OP put in his thread
"I turn to CL for some inputs/thoughts/criticisms and if possible with the price and options that you got it for"
Maybe YOU should learn to read before wasting posts.

Your best bet is to check http://www.g37driver.com/ as no one on here owns the new G37 from my observations. Any other commentary other than ownerhip experience is just hot air. Good luck.

The title of the thread: Does anyone have the new G37 coupe?

Then the OP asked for inputs/thoughts on the G37. Why the hell would someone want an opinion on what other car the G37 may also look like? How on Earth could that possibly be beneficial to his friend's buying decision?

The answer is, it couldn't. I'm sure he's not going to run to his friend and say "well hey, so and so from ClubLexus who doesn't even own the G37 said it looks like an Altima Coupe, so you probably shouldn't buy it". He's clearly looking for opinions from current owners of the vehicle. If you can't see that, then I don't know what else to tell you.

Not quite sure how helpful it would be for his friend to know that somebody on a message board who doesn't even OWN the G37 thinks it looks like an Altima Coupe. (especially since we've heard the same song and dance a million other times in a million other threads from this poster).

And yet you take this matter further off topic with more argumentative posts. Clearly you are not giving your opinion/thought/criticism about the G37 (as you said, "I'm not going to give my opinion on it in this thread"), but you instead publicly attack a moderator and argue about posts.

Your first and final warning. That will be your last post in this thread.

Funny

Honestly, the OP asked for input or advice which may include opinions of the g37.

I would advice my buddy to move in another direction as I agree with 1Sick in that the mentioned vehicles look too similiar. The g37 HP gains dont translate to a much faster vehicle with the added weight.
jus my .02 cents

Looks are subjective, my friend. I'm sure if this guy is already considering the new G37 coupe, he kinda already knows what it looks like

Afterall, the OP stated that his friend is already considering the Journey package w/ navigation. Him being told that someone from CL said that it looks like an Altima coupe adds zero value at this stage of the game. The G37 looking like another car is an opinion, not a fact. I personally don't think either car looks anything like the other, but hey, that's just my opinion.

LMSU, A moderator asked you politely to exit this thread.

GS3Tek, I'm sorry but this thread has gone downhill. I'd echo Dashocker's advice (even though I'd have stated a bit less - ahem - negatively, to check out Nissan / Infiniti forums like G35/37driver and freshalloy for a LOT more details and first hand experience than you'll get here on CL.
