wow cheap gas in NJ. last fillup here in Redondo Beach, CA was $3.05gal for Chevron Premium.

only Chevron for me so far. I've heard bad stories from long term cheap generic gas use.

Have about 6500 miles on my 250 now and I have only used costco premium except for maybe 2 or 3 times (have receipts and gas milage log to prove this) and I have never noticed any advantage to running chevron (which on the 2 or 3 occasions where I didnt use costco is where I went). I didnt get anymore miles out of a tank and I didnt feel anymore performance. Personally Id rather save the money. Besides, you get 1% back or something like that when you gas up at costco with your AMEX card.

Costco is consistently the cheapest gas around here. I take my Audi there whenever I can since I really don't care if it's 'the best' for it or not - it's a lease.

I tell my wife to take the 4Runner to Shell or BP though, since we own it.

There is a difference in the additive packages, for sure. Is it worth the difference in price? I dunno. Never seen a clear answer on it, but I prefer to play it safe anyway.

i put costco gas whenever im at costco. whats the big deal? all gas is the same until the different brands add their own additives. i always put the cheapest gas possible. and the costco where i shop at ive seen people putting gas into astons, rolls royces, and other expensive high end cars. i guess they must be crazy right?
