And, of course, you know me and my AWD bias.....I'll like it even more if it has an Xi option.

hmmm, in theory its a sick car, and if i truely was a car guy who didnt care bout looks id go for it, But my hot hatch days are over, with that said its an ugly hatch, beautiful only cause it got a sick engine and rear wheel drive. I would love to own one, but realisitcly that will never happen. 335 FTW

Despite the fact that I find this car completely ridiculous to look at( I felt like I was in a clown car inside that thing), my expectations were set a little bit higher, performance, price, and sales wise among other things. IMO its turning out to be another niche BMW product.

IMHO, Bimmers are drivers cars first, then everything else after. You get into one, drive it fast, and know where it is at all times. You dont care as much for the stereo (because they pretty much suck), or how quiet it is (although a new 335 is much quieter on roads than my IS350), or how you look in it or how it looks to others. You will be able to drive equally as fast at night, because they put really good lights into them that shine way down the road, you have really great brakes for normal driving, and they are stable in any kind of weather even snow if equipped with the right tires, etc..
They are all tested at the Nurburgring Track the north track, something like 17 miles long and called fondly the "green hell" by some of the best drivers in the world, and can be driven at extremely high speeds for hours without problems, they are again, drivers cars. If you dont care much about the driving experience, you will never relate to this easily. I drove the 1 Series and the 335 and found the 335 Coupe just a beautiful car to look at and drive. If they had a model that fit my needs, I might have bought one instead of my IS350. I have had 5 different Bimmers since year 2000, all but one were new, and can say I understand what they mean. I guess there might be alot of posing going on by many who have one, but to each his/her own, right? Their BMW CCA club is top notch, has a great magazine, is way organized, offers rebates on new ones, and European Delivery incentives.
They must be doing something right. They are still a privately owned company, (The Quandt family), and BMW's are pretty common in Europe, especially since they offer them some awesome diesel versions of what we have here. But their deisel versions are coming soon to America.
Have owned a ton of American iron, a few Japanese (Honda,Acura, Lexus) and these Munich marvels, and you can guess where my heart will always be...

Actually the Logic 7 stereos are pretty darn good in these cars (but boy did the old ones suck) and as pointed out, they are some of the more quiet cars on the road.
