that hole thing is written horribly... very poor result for BRZ at 15.7, I guess it was automatic shifter? S2000 should be worse since it is older?

Very poor result for both cars. It doesnt look like they launched either one of them. The BRZ appears to be a manual, I don't see any brake lights prior to the launch.

Either way the result is about what i expected. Many owners were able to get stock s2000's into the high 13's 1/4 mile, BRZ won't come close to that.

Hopefully they'll come out with some track comparisons soon.

My expectation is that both the BRZ and the FT86 will get smoked by many cars in a straight line. But that isn't where the strength of either lies. It's in the handling, the playfulness, the tossability, the total sports car experience that both will give the driver.

BRZ has gear indicator on dash, it would be unusual for manual to have that.

but mostly it is the text... brz should be faster because it has newer engine? thats stupidest thing i have ever seen, S2000 has 40hp more.

Good eye, i didn't catch that.

I agree with you about the article, they're delusional if they really expected the s2000 to lose its 20% hp advantage just because it's a couple years old.

This was posted in ft86club. $34,595!! I mean.. seriously? Scion needs to do something about this before these shady dealers put the car out of the market.

all they had to do was put a manual gearbox in the is350 and they would have a much better product

Another South East Toyota scam. Shame on them. This totally goes against Scion's Pure Pricing structure.

thats even worse - i thought they were saying how old design of the engine is... if they were thinking about age of the engine - and we know that engine is actually stronger after 10,000 miles or more, terrible.
