I have to say, if they tune that Supra engine like some people do and turn out over 800 hp. The FR-S is going to be flying.

There's already a FR-S that's flying...well, technically, no, it's a JDM 86 drift racer that is IS F powered. It's a beast.

Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S lead list of fastest-selling cars

Subaru and Scion dealers are having no trouble finding homes for BRZ and FR-S models. The sport coupes are ranked one and two on the list of cars that spend the fewest days on dealer lots. According to Edmunds, the BRZ takes just four days to turn, followed by the FR-S at five days. On average, it takes dealers 53 days to move new models. Both machines are surrounded by a halo of buzz and plenty of pent-up demand. Subaru began selling the BRZ in the U.S. at the end of April, while Scion gave the first 86 FR-S buyers the chance to come to California for a little track time in their new purchases.

Then there's the issue of low supply. Toyota will only sell 10,000 Scion FR-S units in the U.S. this year while Subaru will only offer buyers 6,000 BRZ coupes. That number will increase in 2013, but that's a long time from now. According to The New York Times, in Japan, the initial interest in the BRZ was a full four times higher than Subaru anticipated.

Why are the production numbers so low while demand seems so high? Subaru based its production predictions on WRX sales, and estimated a rear-wheel-drive model would see lower interest. Turns out, at least initially, Subaru was a bit too conservative.

I really need to do a 1SICKREVIEW but thanks to my friends Chris and Sonny at World Scion here in Atlanta for bringing a FRS to my booth last week. Got to fully inspect the car and got a nice ride in it.

To be honest I've never been one to be in the "oh this car has soul" argument but as soon as I saw it and sat inside I felt something. This is one of those rare cars where they were not limited by Accounting and other branches to make a car bigger, more complicated etc. It is quite frankly BRILLIANT.

First off I am 6'5, 250 and fit fine. I could not believe it. legroom was better than most Lexus and headroom was abundant. Its painfully obvious cars have gotten huge if I fit inside fine. True the backseat is a joke but it does have one. I was shocked at how good the materials felt, it didn't come across as cheap. You sit LOW in this car like a go-kart or LFA.

Riding it it, the ride is compliant and its quite easy to drift around and play in. Utterly stunning for 26k, a true old school sports car.

its cool that Jay Leno knows more about cars than most other people that actually work in the industry...

A week ago I saw one on top of a transport truck and that was the first time I saw one in person.

Today I saw one in dark blue on the road for the first time and it looked stunning. TBH pics I've seen makes it look kind of generic-ish econo coupe but on the road it had a real presence to it. Great stance even on stock rollers. I'm impressed!

I'm really digging the BRZ, To me the styling differences of the BRZ suit me alittle better than FRS, both Great cars.. I would love to have the BRZ..

I like the options of the BRZ as well...but not a fan of the front bumper. I'd be forced to swap the FRS bumper and fogs on in place of the BRZ. Plus the option of purchasing JDM Toyota 86 parts for the front becomes more appealing too
