definitely an improvement as far as cosmetics go...he's awaiting a custom front lip as well. The rims kinda killed the fun factor some, car feels a lot lazier now. he's eyeing the AVO turbo setup to help compensate that though, most likely year end after proper R&D has been completed with the kit.

i'm begging him to go lower...i hate the little bit of gap that is still left

Its like complaining that a LandCruiser sits to high off the pavement.
Well it's perfectly understandable why some people need the extra versatility afforded by usable rear seats. This isn't an exotic car after all. Particularly true for buyers in this price range, either this is going to be their only car, or it makes the WAF (wife-approval factor) that much higher, being able to drop off/pick up kids from daycare/school on the way to work/home. As for fitting "adults" in the rear.. well it may still prove to be useful when it comes to picking up that extra girl or two when needed. (Can't think of why anyone would want a fully grown man to sit back there.)

The Return of Small, Impractical and Sexy

Two of the hottest-selling cars in America right now are a pair of impractical sporty coupes designed to make the daily commute feel like a day at the races.

I just noticed this...all 3 are using the same front grill hexagon opening...except that the Toyota is upside down.

yea they did one test where the laptime was actually slower when they put 18" wheels on it. The car was faster on the 17s

Too much tire slowed its speed, but it gripped better.

This has to be the first time the 86/FR-S/BRZ ever loses a comparo from a reputable car medium, but still it's very well placed against a very tough (read: much more expensive) group of competition. Not surprised about the Lambo, which has always been about brute force rather than finesse, and not surprised about the Porsche of course. The only real surprise to me is the AMG being placed so high as a driver's car. Good job to them breaking the mold.

"If price were a factor, the BRZ would win this competition hands-down. This car, like the Miata, proves you don't need a monster engine to be a great driving car."

But why no Lotus or Cayman?

The car has to be either new or significantly refreshed for the year in order to qualify for this comparo.
