get some of those 19" vossen's drilled in 5x100 and I'm sure you'll find a buyer to "make it happen"

Toyota is developing a new device for its cars that will collect detailed data on driving such as gas pedal use, brake presses, and gear shifts for viewing on a smartphone app or recreating drives virtually on the PlayStation game Gran Turismo.

The system is still in early development and is slated for initial release on a single sports car late next year in Japan, though Toyota hopes to release it worldwide after that, according to spokesman Dion Corbett. It collects data from the dozens of onboard computer systems, known as electronic control units, or ECUs, that run everything from the engine to the air conditioner in a modern car, then sends it via Bluetooth to a smartphone or stores it on a USB memory stick for future review or sharing.

I was pretty much dead set on getting one, until I finally got test drive. Handled like a go kart yes, but omg passing a semi on the highway was worse than in my girlfriend's Matrix. The lack of power just killed it for me... picked up an '07 IS350 for cheaper than a new FRS with many more luxury's

Just, no. Why ruin the car with those 22's(?) and that horrible 458 rear end?

Default Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ get IIHS Top Safety Pick

Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ get IIHS Top Safety Pick

There are many reasons why we love the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ, and now safety can be added to this list. Both of these track-friendly fraternal twins were just named as 2012 Top Safety Picks by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety making them the only sub-$30,000 sport coupes to make the list.

Aside from the small batch of luxury cars, the IIHS has not performed any more of its small overlap tests, but both the FR-S and BRZ earned top marks for frontal-, side- and rear-crash safety as well as roof strength. Since both cars are practically identical, only the FR-S was used for these crash tests, and it joins the xB, xD and tC for Scion's 2012 Top Safety Pick cars. For Subaru, aside from the old-bodied WRX and the yet-to-be-released XV Crosstrek, all of the automaker's current models are Top Safety Picks, and if it can pull off top safety results for its all-new crossover and next-generation sport sedan, its entire lineup would be on the list... something that even Acura can no longer boast.

The structure held up incredibly well, I don't even think the windshield cracked, or if it did it was very minor. Surprised by the result honestly.

That result is not at all surprising for a chassis built by Subaru. They have been very good in this area for quite some time now.

It's not like any Toyota did any worse for these IIHS tests before.

Turbocharged Subaru BRZ with 440WHP Runs Quarter Mile in 11.3 Seconds
Thanks to a series of mechanical upgrades highlighted by the addition of a turbocharger system, reprogrammed ECU and a catless exhaust, the BRZ's 2.0-liter flat-four is said to produce a massive 440-horses…at the rear wheels.

We may have many questions about longevity, reliability and what it does to the car's handling around corners, but when it comes to a straight line, there's no doubt that this BRZ rocks.

The modded Subaru coupe recorded a quarter mile time of 11.3 seconds with an exit speed of 127mph (204km/h).

thats what I'm talking about... these things need at least 320-350 at the wheels to be a serious contender... at the bare minimum, there is no reason they can't use a 2.0 turbo from the factory and make 300 at the crank, Mitsubishi and Subaru both do it with very good reliability at stock power numbers in the 300 crank range... that should make it a mid 12 second car, as light as it is...

Corvette Z06, Camaro ZR1, Shelby GT500... cars with real power...

200 crank horsepower sucks... My IS is making 320 at the wheels right now and isn't nearly enough...
