now this is a car where vibrant colors would look good.

Nice job! I like them all except for the first green. Toyota has most of these colours on hand...

- SunFusion Yellow
- Seaside Pearl
- Classic Silver Metallic (unless you meant it to be white, then Blizzard Pearl)
- Blue Bayou Metallic (sorta)
- Black (hope they use Black Sand Pearl though)
- Copper Orange Metallic
- can't tell if you were going for a Magnetic Grey look or the new Winter Grey (which has hints of blue in it)
- closest I can think of is Aspen Green Pearl (though it's darker than the one you listed)
- Capri Sea Metallic
- Doesn't exist. Need a new name!

Been doing some research. I didn't know that the Sport 800 (and a couple other models) came with a boxer engine.

pic of a re-furbished one

hehehe... pretty cool.

So will the FT-86 get a "P" chassis code?

Anyway, with respect to the sound.....

But more so

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I21BW0CeJ90

Sounds pretty similar to the model in the GT5 vid no?

*edit*

wait no...... P is the chassis code for the starlet.. that won't work. D'oh

FT86:
Length: 163.78 inches / Width: 69.29 inches / Height: 48.19 inches / Wheelbase: 101.18 inches

Genesis coupe:
Length: 182.3 inches / Width: 73.4 inches / Height: 54.5 / Wheelbase: 111 inches

S2000:
Length: 162.7 inches / Width: 68.9 inches / Height: 50 inches / Wheelbase: 94.5 inches
Weight: 2809lbs

135i
Length: 172.20 inches / Width: 68.80 inches / Height: 55.4 inches / Wheelbase: 104.7 inches

The FT86 is basically the same exact size as the S2000!

Yes, except the FT-86 has a MUCH longer wheelbase than the S2000 and a slightly lower height . In theory, the FT-86 should be superior in handling to an S2000.

Let's hope they tune the crap out of that suspension!

Yes let's hope so, but physics alone gives the FT-86 an advantage. When compared to another car of the same length and width, having a longer wheelbase in theory means greater stability during handling and better car balance.

Yet another FT-86 advantage is the lower center of gravity provided by the lower boxer engine.

Exactly. For the price that Toyota is aiming this car at, I think the handling could be unbeatable.

If that size comparo with the mini is accurate, then there really shouldn't be a problem to fit 2+2 regular size ppl without much discomfort.

Its all about smart packaging here and that seems to be a goal here. There are a lot of large coupes with backseats and trunk space no bigger than cars much smaller.

Here's the MOTHER of FT-86 photochop threads

My favorite ones are by far the Initial D AE86 paint scheme with watanabe wheels.

Pure classic look.
