Just thinking out loud here but I'm so tired of this "supra" talk. If it comes, it comes but in the mean time, stop hanging onto this obsession. Everybody is delusion-ally biting their lip waiting for this magical Supra.
Just because the original Supra TT was overbuilt beyond automotive comprehension (and is now considered a highway KING and dyno QUEEN without dumping 10's of thousands) doesn't mean it will be overbuilt and under-tuned in the next generation (if there is one or not). Times are changing so just let go of it.

Looks are subjective, you are of course entitled to your opinion. I, on the other had, think it looks better. Not that it matters anyway, as both will be in different market segments.

I was reading about ring spyshots of the mule, and apperantly they were testing it against Cayman.

So I heard... really ambitious for a $20K car.... must be in the ride/handling/driving feel dept though, because there is no way 200hp is going to keep up with a cayman.... in a lotus maybe

It seems a lot of focus is on the ride and handling, plus low weight and balance of the car. High HP does not seem to be a big priority.

Cayman has 45hp more and 150kg more. I would not be suprised if they were quite similar at the end, of course, 4cyl will never have the torque and power delivery of 6cly engine.
It does draw comparisment to Celica GTS, car that i ADORED, with WONDERFUL 2ZZ-GE engine. New subbie engine should have a lot more torque and 10%-15% more power, but at the same time, it will be 8% heavier. It should have better handling and 5 star safety.
So i would expect RWD sports car that is a bit faster than Celica GTS, expect 0-60 in less than 7 seconds.
I had Corolla TS, 2004 Corolla hatch with 2ZZ-GE engine. That engine was so great, offered thrills at 7000 RPM that not many engines do, even big ones.... it felt like you were going to fly. Too bad I am too old for Ft-86 now :-)
