Yes...good catch. I scanned that somewhere in one of the articles. The interior is not anything spectacular, I just love the lines!

This car has its own seperate thread here. It's been talked about for ages. It is definitely not the new SC.

if you have been following at all, there is a new model coming soon that is supposedly aimed to be the SC successor.

whoever designed FT-86 concept, needs to be solely responsible for rest of Toyota lineup

lol i had no idea there was a ft86 thread already and it had been talked about. I was just posting in the SC430 forum because we are all anxiously awaiting news or a sneak peak of the potential successor to the SC430!

very cool...now i have lots more reading to do

I think the design is fresh for toyota and definitely a step forward in aggressiveness and imagination. thank God! Design has been lacking for a while....very "safe" designs.

I hope this car does make it...

Could be a platform for the new IS???? or the scion coupe? Or the Corrolla Coupe?

Remember the Corrolla GTS of the 80's?

At one time, Toyota has these sports cars in their line up:

Paseo (and convertible)
Tercel (some would argue the sportiness of it, but it was a coupe
Corrolla GTS and SR5 versions...the late 89-91 GTS was really nice with aero, spoiler, etc
Celica
MR2
Supra

Today...is the Solara the sportiest Toyota car? I think so. Sad, but true. I'm encouraged by the teaser/rumor of this design and as lexus enthusiasts we all should be-because hopefully these influences will trickle over to the L side of the business too!

That is not true! The Solara was discontinued after the 2008 model year. So the sportiest Toyota today is the Camry SE. Sad, but true.

Tacoma X-Runner is probably sportier than the Camry, but the Tundra TRD S/C is one of the most beastly things on the street right now.
