Am I the only one who thinks that this Concept looks much better than the LF-Gh concept?
This one just has win written all over it, yet, even though I like the LF-Gh, it could've been much better looking...

I agree. I always liked the Alfa Spider 8c, so that is probably why I like this one.

According to wikipedia it did indeed get wider.
The FT-86 rides on a modified Subaru Impreza platform with 101.2-inch wheelbase, with length, width, and height measuring 163.8, 69.3, and 49.6 inches, respectively.
Versus
FR-S
Length – 168.2
Width – 71.5
Height – 47.4
Front Track – 61.8
Rear Track – 59.9
Wheelbase – 101.2
Concept II
Length 4,235 mm (166.7 in)
Width 1,795 mm (70.7 in)
Height 1,270 mm (50.0 in)
G-Sports
Length 4,190 mm (165.0 in)
Width 1,780 mm (70.1 in)
Height 1,230 mm (48.4 in)
Concept I
Wheelbase 2,570 mm (101.2 in)
Length 4,160 mm (163.8 in)
Width 1,760 mm (69.3 in)
Height 1,260 mm (49.6 in)
So longer (more overhang by about 4 inches, the wheelbase stayed the same), wider (by about 2 inches), shorter (by about 2 inches).
Things that will likely go away for production:
-rear diffuser
-roof shape/rear glass (that notch will probably go away or become a high mount brake light)
-wheels (probably closer to 17-18", the staggered wheels may stay)
-ground effects (front skirt, side skirts)
-brakes (obviously not carbon ceramic, smaller, not mounted to the wheel)
-LED headlights (probably projector halogens with maybe HID accessory)
-door handles (weird to place their anyway)
-mirrors (larger)
-hood vents
-SCION rear lights
All fairly minor things, I think a lot of the design could make it to production.

so many possible colors you can imagine.
smoky granite.
how about LFA nurburgring gold,
or even hot pink for the ladies and metrosexuals out there....
the internet community needs to petition toyota to build it as is today.

Looks very good, but how much of this excitement is from years and years of not having a sporty Toyota to get excited over? I think it could look half as good as it does and we'd all still be going nuts over it. We have been deprived!
About the only thing I don't like is the Morgan-style front fenders. Makes the body look like it's sagging or melting onto the chassis. Regardless, it's nice to see Toyota FINALLY get back into the sports car game. Big thumbs up.

i hope they keep the wheel arch size.
concepts always have big wheels and arches, but if they shrink it for production, it will throw off the balance of the look. It looks perfect right now.
i just hate how toyota shrunk the wheel well size on the production CT200h vs the CT concept.
