Poor Toyota F1 qualifying results in GP Japan (Fuji speedway, toyota's turf)
i thought toyota would do much better this time after Trulli did quite well at Spa
for maybe toyota just doesnt have a proper setup for wet?
Ralf Schumacher got into an accident with Sato in Q2 so did not make it into Q3
Trulli finished 14th in qualifying
looks like another disappointing season for Toyota since they cant even prove themselves on their home turf
here are the rest of the qualifying results

will Lexus show their LF-A tomorrow?

Formula 1 is NOT about money; it's ALL about experience. Toyota is one of the least-experienced teams in the field.
Oh, and Schumacher's accident was with Yamamoto, not Sato.
During practice on Friday, when it was a dry track, both Toyota cars set very competitive times.
Toyota is still a very young team in F1 compared to it's competition, AND consider that this is the first time that F1 has raced on the revamped Fuji speedway, AND with foggy and rainy conditions it's not surprising Toyota did bad. Honda did horrible too with Barrichello. The only reason that Button in his Honda managed a good qualifying position is because he is known to be a great driver in the rain.
If this had been a dry track, both Hondas would have qualified near the back and the Toyotas would have done better.
It's definitely dissapointing to see Toyota continuing to struggle, and they definitely need to improve for 2008. If they don't, then one will have to wonder why they aren't learning anything from experience.
